Flow Dry Technology Introduces SIRAY for Low Cost Thump Reduction in Automotive AC Systems

Flow Dry Technology Ltd., the world's leading supplier of Flow-Dry® Desiccant Packages for automotive air conditioning systems, has developed an improved solution for reducing the "Thump" problem commonly found in CCOT accumulator systems. This improvement was developed in concert with our suppliers and customers to allow improved fluid flow inside the accumulator. The new material will be trademarked Siray, and it has been tested side by side against other commonly used materials such as Reemay® and Cerex®. It has been proven to equal or exceed the other two materials' flow capabilities and noise reduction in Automotive AC systems that exhibit Thumping problems, except at a lower cost and with fewer loose fibers. In addition, you can be confident that Siray is fully compatible with R134A refrigerant and associated PAG oils.

Siray, when used in conjunction with Accu-Weld® seam technology, provides a seal for desiccant bags that is pliable and consistent and allows continuous fluid flow and permeability throughout the seam area. This increased permeability minimizes both pressure drop and the interruption of refrigerant flow inside the AC system. In addition, it produces a seam that is significantly stronger than thin, brittle seams on many of our competitors' products.

Whether you require packaged desiccant bags for receiver dryers, accumulators, or integrated (semi-integrated) condensers, the combination of Siray and Accu-Weld® seam technology increases the performance of your dehydrator. The result is increased reliability and protection for your system and achievement of the ultimate objective in automotive component production of - 0 - PPM for your products.
