Flow Dry has the people, systems, and quality knowledge to meet industry's tough quality demands. Our quality program is founded in the ISO/TS 16949:2002 requirements, which guide our business. Flow Dry solicits early involvement in Advance Quality Planning (AQP) for new products.

Quality Assurance Department

The QA department is responsible for the following tasks:

  • Establishing and maintaining the quality and procedure manuals and related documents
  • Establishing the curriculum and monitoring the training program
  • Defining and assuring SPC requirements are maintained
  • Conducting audits of procedures and gauge calibration
  • General promotion of continuous improvement and quality awareness within the organization

Supplier Standards

Supplier performance is key to the success of the Flow Dry Technology Quality program. Suppliers are expected to have a documented quality policy, maintain a quality manual, apply SPC and provide zero defect materials. To assure conformance, all suppliers are audited quarterly using Flow Dry's Quality Systems Survey, which includes separate evaluations for quality, delivery, cost and support.

Gauging Capability

Flow Dry QA specialists, as well as process engineers, are experts in applying a broad range of equipment to measure various types of materials including everything from non-metallic foams to stainless steel metal forms.

  • Personnel are trained in the use of high-tech digital calipers, indicators and gauging to monitor production processes.
  • Extensive, in-house tooling capabilities along with those of several approved suppliers enables Flow Dry to create specialized gauges for proprietary manufacturing procedures.
  • A biaxial vision system equipped with Metronics Quadra Chek is capable of detailed inspection of most die cut gaskets, shrouds and insulating components.

OGP Inspection Capability

  • Extensive layout capabilities are available from an innovative inspection system that utilizes multi-sensor technology and the latest inspection hardware and software to inspect parts from the ultra small to the largest size (30" x 30").
  • Employing an interactive software suite coupled to an automatic, CNC, high accuracy machine, the system incorporates both video and laser sensors to capture both 2D edges and 3D surfaces on the part being inspected.
  • Specialized inspection software allows customer CAD information to be processed for inspection routines and analysis of the measured results and provide detailed displays of the quality of the part under inspection.
